Term 4 Inquiry - Bean growing

WALT how to grow a plant from a seed.

SUCCESS CRITERIA I will know about having my plant in the light and watering it each day so that it grows well. 

Throwing ball

WALT run, jump and throw.
SUCCESS CRITERIA I can run in a race, jump and throw a ball.

SUCCESS CRITERIA I can throw a ball a long way.

WALT play the recorder.
SUCCESS CRITERIA I can play the notes B A G C D.

STUDENT VOICE I can play lots of songs on the recorder.

Inquiry Term 4 Potato

WALT know what plants needs to grow well.

SUCCESS CRITERIA We will plant the potato under the soil and give it water and light to help it grow.

STUDENT VOICE - I can play some songs on the recorder. I can play it properly> 

STUDENT VOICE " I CAN PLAY LOTS OF SONGS ON MY RECORDER. I KNOW WHERE TO PUT MY FINGERS ON THE HOLES. 

Technology Term 3

WALT create a toy out of recyclable materials.

SUCCESS CRITERIA I have designed and created a toy.

Term 2 maths - Measurement

WALT measure length.
SUCCESS CRITERIA - I can measure  how long something is in centimetres.

Term 2 Inquiry

WALT know  

· * that there are  different kinds of movement - the motion of common objects

·  * that pushes and pulls can make things start or stop moving - the effects of forces on objects
·  about the movement of different sized objects 

   * about the  ways magnets behave

P.E. Term 2

WALT throw and catch a ball.

SUCCESS CRITERIA- We can aim at an object and we know to have our hands up ready to catch the ball.

Maths Term 2

WALT use the 2x,5,10x multiplication tables.

SUCCESS CRITERIA: I know that 5x2 = 10, 6 x5 = 30, 7 x10 = 70. 

Writing Term 2

WALT write a recount  

SUCCESS CRITERIA: I have an introduction and I tell who,where,when.

We went to the Wigram Airforce museum to learn about flight and movement.  I liked looking at all the aeroplanes and I learned a lot from Chris when he talked to us.  We did some experiments in the classroom.

Maths Term 1

Writing term 1

WALT write a recount about something  that has already happened.

SUCCESS CRITERIA – we will have a capital at the start of each sentence and a fullstop at the end.

I went swimming in the school pool with my class yesterday. We had a lesson and we went across the pool floating and kicking.   Then we used our arms to do freestyle. I had lost of fun. I love swimming. 

Reading Term 1

WALT use our reading skills to complete a crossword.
SUCCESS CRITERIA; we can read the clues for a crossword.

Student Voice " I can read the clues to a crossword and work out the answers".

Term 1 Physical Education - Swimming

WALT float with our head in the water.

Success Criteria - I will be lieing in a long straight line with my face in the water.
Student Voice - I can move along by kicking while i am floating.

Art Term 1 2015

WALT draw a self portrait with facial features .

SUCCESS CRITERIA - facial features are included, drawn in proportion and correctly placed.

Student Voice " I have included  eyes a nose a mouth and ears and hair on my portrait".
